The Lions Reading Den Returns This July
The Lions Reading Den is back this summer, offering young readers the extra support they need to build strong, confident reading skills.
This high‑quality remedial program is led by professional elementary teachers using UFLI resources and is offered free of charge by the Lions Club. Last year’s inaugural program was a tremendous success, with every participating student making meaningful progress.
The program is designed for children entering Grades 2 or 3 in September who are struggling with reading and would benefit from more intensive, personalized instruction. To ensure a supportive learning environment, space is limited to 12 students. The program runs Monday – Friday mornings from July 6 – 24, and participants must commit to attending daily for the 3 weeks.
If your child could use a boost in reading this summer, we encourage you to apply early before the program fills.
