Seedy Saturday - April 18

🌱 Seedy Saturday at the Merrickville Library – April 18

Join us for Merrickville’s 5th annual Seedy Saturday on April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Merrickville Library. It’s a wonderful way to welcome spring and connect with fellow gardeners and nature lovers.

🌼 Pollinator Garden Workshops

Alongside our popular seed and seedling swap, the Merrickville Lions Club will offer two hands‑on workshops  – starting at 9:30 and 11:00 – on how to start your own pollinator garden. Whether you have a balcony or a backyard, you’ll learn how to create a vibrant space that attracts butterflies, bees, and birds.  All materials are provided.

🐝 Learn from Local Experts

Between workshops, Dr. Katie Weststrate, ND will give an informative talk on ticks—an important topic as the weather warms.

You can also chat with representatives from:

  • MaD Gardeners
  • Seeds of Diversity
  • Canadian Organic Growers

These groups are fantastic sources of gardening knowledge and inspiration.

🌿Check Out the Seed Library

Browse a free selection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to help kick‑start your spring planting.

We hope you’ll join us for a morning of learning, sharing, and community connection.
This is a free event, but donations are appreciated to support next year’s Seed Library.

See you there!
