The Friends of the Library are putting the “fun” in fundraiser with an “Around-the-Village Adventure Hunt” – combining elements of a car rally, history tour, photoshoot and scavenger hunt into a wild, fun-filled romp through the streets of Merrickville!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 2! Get together a team of 2 – 6 friends, family, or colleagues and drive, bike or walk around the Village, solving clues, gathering items, taking photos – to earn points and win! There are hundreds of dollars worth of gift certificates generously donated by our local eateries to be won!
Entries are limited. Pre-register online at https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/around-the-village-adventure-hunt or you can pre-register and pay your entry fee in person at the Library. (If there are spots left, teams can also sign up on Nov 2.). Tickets are $25/person, but kids 12 & under are free (note: they must be on an adult’s team).
Give your team a name and wear creative costumes – there’s a prize for best-costumed team! The hunt covers a 4 km area, so pick the mode of transportation that suits your team best.
At 1:00 pm on Nov 2, you’ll sign in at the Library to get your Clues and tickets to the post-adventure party at the Merrickville Legion – where prizes will be awarded while all our teams enjoy an assortment of sweet & savory snacks and cash bar.
The Around-the-Village Adventure Hunt is a wonderful opportunity to show your team and community spirit, enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition and camaraderie, and to make a meaningful contribution to our Library – and to win some great prizes!
