SUMMARY:Rideau Eco-Literacy Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Join us for another hands-on STEM workshop related to the Rideau River, for ages 6 -12, with Tina Bye!\nThis month’s workshop is “LOOK UP: Tree Identification”.\nWe’ll do a nature walk to collect specimens (weather permitting) and make observations about leaves, bark, branches, seeds and other identifying features of local trees. Then we’ll use our notes and specimens to create our own tree identification field journal.\nWe’ll look at other ways to classify our found trees and their importance to the environment.
