“Fitness for your Aging Brain” is a free series of 10 weekly online exercise classes for ages 50+ designed to keep older brains functioning at their best. This program will be hosted at the Library on Friday mornings at 10:00.
Based on the latest neuroscience, geriatric and fitness research, the classes combine cardiovascular exercise, mental challenge, rhythm-based movement, and simple fun in a program geared to maintain a healthy brain as you age.
Follow the virtual classes at home, or join in at the Library, where we’ll be hosting the classes as group sessions in conjunction with the Health Centre and other community partners (you can participate at the Library and repeat the sessions at home for added benefits).
Registration is open now. To get the link for the classes emailed to you, register by email at FitnessForYourAgingBrain@gmail.com – or contact us to participate at the Library (you can also call 613-269-3326). Space (at the Library) is limited, so registration is required.
This program is funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
