Library Open for Computer Use!

The library is open for computer use. Occupancy limits and time limits in effect. Contact the library to book an appointment

The Library is excited to be able to Open for Computer Use starting on Fri, June 12, as per the province’s recent announcement (June 8).

In keeping with the provincial guidelines, we must limit the number of people in the library at a time, and the length of time per computer session, in addition to requiring physical distancing and sanitizer use.  To start we will have 3 computers for public use, as well as a scanner, black & white and colour printers, photocopying, and (contactless) fax service.  In order to maintain safety standards, we suggest you contact the library to make an appointment for computer use.

Temporary Open Hours June 12-20

Mon  1:00 – 5:00
Tues  1:00 – 5:00
Wed  1:00 – 7:00
Thurs  1:00 – 7:00
Fri  1:00 – 5:00
Sat  1:00 – 5:00

Contactless Pick-Up Available. Pick-up inside the library or on the porch. Contact staff to request items

The Library will also be open for contactless book pick-up and drop-off – or you can continue to pick-up your items on the Porch, if you prefer.

We are unable to allow handling of the collection at this time, so items must still be requested by contacting staff or through the catalogue.  But you can take a look at our displays of new and popular items and let staff help find you something you’ll like (from a safe distance, of course).

You can also find out what’s available now by searching the Library’s catalogue.  You can place items on hold there – or contact the Library by phone (613-269-3326), email, contact form, or social media to request items.  Not sure what you want?  Get in touch with us, and we’ll be happy to help pick out something you’ll like.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we will be doing contactless pick-up of the books and using sanitizer after each transaction.

The Library continues to accept returns.  Please use the return slot or place items directly in the return bin to minimize contact.  The Library will be using recommended quarantining procedures to ensure that materials are not infected before allowing them to return to circulation. Contact us for more information.
