What’s Happening in December?

Christmas in Merrickville Juice Jam! (Sat, Dec. 3, 1:00):
The Library will be a part of the “Christmas in Merrickville” fun. Drop by for a festive Juice Jam with Polly Beach at 1:00 pm! Kids can sing and play along to Christmas songs using a variety of rhythm instruments – plus juice and a snack!

Art Workshop for Kids (Sat, Dec. 17, 1:00):
This month, kids will create a “Star of Wonder” in our Brenda Carter Memorial Art Workshop lead by local artist Gloria Stowell and Kathy Brown. We’ll be using techniques of precious foils and specialized iridescent paints on a mini canvas to create a unique keepsake will reflect light and joy. For kids age 8+. Spaces are limited.  Registration required.

Off the Shelf (Mon., Dec. 19, 7:00):
Join us for our Christmas Off the Shelf with festive readings, plus classic seasonal music from our special musical guests. With good cheer and light refreshments for all!

Friday Movies at the Library (Fridays, 2:00):
Our afternoon movies for adults continue to Dec. 23. Check out this month’s films on our home page – or contact the Library.

Afterschool Youth Group (Wednesdays, 4:00):
Come to the library after school for drama, Christmas crafts and hanging out with friends.

StoryTime (Fridays, 10(ish)) & LEGO Club (Saturdays, 10 – 12):
continue to Dec. 23 & will be back in Jan.

HOLIDAY HOURS:
The library will be CLOSED Dec. 24 – 26 and Dec. 29 – Jan. 1.
But, the library will be OPEN Tues, Dec. 27 & Wed, Dec. 28 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm (only). 
We will be back to our regular schedule starting Sat, Jan. 2.
E-Books & other eResources are always available on our website – contact the library now for your login.
